I’ve been a huge fan of Flora Grubb‘s for years! It’s a unique space that keeps growing & morphing into a more and more interesting secret garden out in Bayview-Hunters Point. I love that I got the chance to work with them on a recent SF wedding. I worked with the talented florist Susie & photographed a beautiful wedding invite suite inspired by florals there. These are strictly the Flora Grubb photos. See the invites here.
Yay, it’s so rad to be discovered by BHLDN + invited to their SF party. BHLDN has beautiful wedding dresses, and I’ve been a long time fan of Anthropologie’s knick knacks, books & overall decor. I’m looking forward to this party & hanging out with some local vendor friends.
Friday / January 23 / 4-7.
Magpie & Rye is a boutique around the corner from where I live (Nopa,SF). I’ve loved this shop since the minute I peaked in it’s windows while walking around the neighborhood 3 years ago. What struck me was the space they created. This little gem belongs to Annabelle Rey. She’s drawn to raw materials & natural designs. To me her curated selection has a lot of personal touch and comes together in a way that feels like a well decorated home.
Magpie & Rye was originally part of Prairie Collective, and shared the space with Studio Choo. Though you will no longer be able to get your flower arrangements there, it’s still the same beautiful little space with a unique collection of items. I love the one of a kind pottery, and they have a solid selection of cards/stationary & jewelry.
While shooting the photos I chatted with Annabelle, who was working on some in house jewelry. I learned that she is originally from Santa Monica, and that she studied Fine Art, and also has a background in floral arrangement. She’s a lovely gal, and it was so nice to meet another local artist/small business owner.
